Narrative:

Fk-27 was cleared for takeoff on runway 26R at atlanta hartsfield airport. Several 727's were being cleared to runway 26L to taxi and hold short of runway 26R at taxiway D. Upon power-up, I noticed one of the 727's crossing ahead. By the time full power was set (takeoff power), I realized that this 727 was not going to clear in time. My first officer suggested to abort at about the same time as the tower said 'cancel takeoff.' I aborted the takeoff.

Narrative: FK-27 WAS CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 26R AT ATLANTA HARTSFIELD ARPT. SEVERAL 727'S WERE BEING CLRED TO RWY 26L TO TAXI AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 26R AT TXWY D. UPON PWR-UP, I NOTICED ONE OF THE 727'S XING AHEAD. BY THE TIME FULL PWR WAS SET (TKOF PWR), I REALIZED THAT THIS 727 WAS NOT GOING TO CLR IN TIME. MY FO SUGGESTED TO ABORT AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME AS THE TWR SAID 'CANCEL TKOF.' I ABORTED THE TKOF.
