Narrative:

Climbing to cruise altitude, I was the PNF. I was operating the radios and plotting sigmets that had been sent to us along our route via ACARS. Upon leveling at FL310, ATC notified us that their radar showed us at FL314. Checking our altimeters we immediately set them to 29.92 and descended to FL310. There was no conflict and the excursion was corrected in less than 30 seconds. Altimeter in dtw was 29.54 and our workload was very high in the climb.
