Narrative:

On approach to sgf airport I moved power lever to the flight idle position that right power lever moved to the reverse command area. The propeller went to ground idle causing a strong yaw. I believe I moved the beta stop by accident allowing the power lever to move into this range. This incident was particularly disturbing because of the saab that had a double engine failure in reverse range. I immediately moved the power lever forward of the beta range and noted no abnormalities. I advised maintenance and was allowed to fly aircraft back to dfw where maintenance personnel inspected engines. No problems were found.
