Narrative:

At the end of our flight a check flight attendant informed captain and me that our new flight attendant needed 5 hours of IOE and only received 3 hours. Check flight attendant had signed her off and as far as the crew knew, she was legal. Now new flight attendant needs 2 more hours of IOE.
