Narrative:

I was spraying (aerial application) an alfalfa field on the above date, while I was making my last pass, I struck a power line as I was pulling out of the field. This wire led out to an abandoned farm house and the wire blended in with trees around the immediate area therefore was virtually invisible. A local farmer that drives this area daily, and has for yrs said he has never seen that wire either. Due to the camouflage effect the wire has with trees for a back drop. To prevent this from happening again I believe the pilot should drive out to the field to check for obstacles before performing an aerial application.
