Narrative:

On apr/xx/95 after normal approach and landing at grr, mi, we made high speed turnoff on A-4. We were not advised of any traffic on the taxiway a, the parallel. A light twin was coming eastbound with no taxi lights on (we landed west on runway 26L). The first officer spotted the twin first and advised me and in turn had to get on the brakes pretty hard. We did not go on to parallel. First officer advised tower that it would have been nice to give us a heads up call, there was no response from the tower. I don't think they were aware of what happened. We did not think too much of the event until 1 passenger came up and said he saw what happened and was going to notify the FAA. I doubt he could see too much from his seat as most visible view was straight ahead. We don't know how the twin was cleared. I fly in and out of grr a lot. Normally, all outbound traffic taxies out of taxiway D which makes more sense to avoid the runway 26L arrs.
