Narrative:

Aircraft arriving atl deviating around level 3-5 thunderstorms. Numerous cells in area. Controller cleared flight and deviate was necessary. Flight was between cells deviating as cleared, when controller instructed immediate right turn. Captain took control of aircraft, executed 45-60 degree (angle of bank) turn. TCASII showed no TA/RA information. Traffic visible at 3 mi. No loss of separation believed to have occurred. Controller was extremely busy vectoring numerous aircraft. All airplanes on the arrival were confined to a single approach corridor. Aircraft landed with no further traffic problems.
