Narrative:

Left required maintenance logbooks at station. Learned of problem after takeoff. Company policy regarding logbooks required on the aircraft states that whenever maintenance personnel remove them from the aircraft that a red (placard) flag be placed on the capts yoke indicating the removal. Since no red flag (placard) was visible, I left without the logbooks.
