Narrative:

First officer completing passenger brief. Captain heard taxi in position and hold but no number - so held short of runway 24L. First officer returned to radios and both heard lax re-clear air carrier X into position and hold - traffic on final. Captain began taxi over short line and checked final for traffic. Both crewmembers saw a beech twin turbo propeller 1/4 mi out on final at 200-300 ft. Flight air carrier X stopped short of the runway but with the nose past the hold short line. After seeing the air carrier X 737 stop, lax tower issued a go around clearance to the beech airplane. Some 30-40 seconds passed air carrier X re-verified the 'taxi-into-position' clearance. This clearance was re-verified and reissued by the lax tower. After 30 seconds in position, flight departed. The beech twin did execute a go around just in front of air carrier X.
