Narrative:

The captain was flying the aircraft, a B737-200, on the arrival to lga. We were at 8000 ft and passed over the yardley VOR. We came inbound on the 233 degree radial and were supposed to go outbound on the 078 degree radial. He forgot to turn after station passage and we ended up going outbound on the 053 degree radial. Neither one of us had noticed the error until approach said we were off course. The controller told us to turn right to a 110 degree heading. He later cleared us direct to lga VOR. We did not notice any traffic conflicts nor were we told of any. The rest of the flight was routine. I believe the cause to be the crew's workload, long duty day, and having to fly 6 flight segments on the east coast in 1 day. The crew checked in at XA10 in ewr. We were scheduled for 7 hours 17 mins flight time. We flew ewr-gso, gso-chs, chs-jax, jax-tpa, situation for 1 hour change of aircraft, then flew tpa-gso, gso-lga. Finish in lga at XL50, with total flying time of 8 hours 19 mins.

Narrative: THE CAPT WAS FLYING THE ACFT, A B737-200, ON THE ARR TO LGA. WE WERE AT 8000 FT AND PASSED OVER THE YARDLEY VOR. WE CAME INBOUND ON THE 233 DEG RADIAL AND WERE SUPPOSED TO GO OUTBOUND ON THE 078 DEG RADIAL. HE FORGOT TO TURN AFTER STATION PASSAGE AND WE ENDED UP GOING OUTBOUND ON THE 053 DEG RADIAL. NEITHER ONE OF US HAD NOTICED THE ERROR UNTIL APCH SAID WE WERE OFF COURSE. THE CTLR TOLD US TO TURN R TO A 110 DEG HDG. HE LATER CLRED US DIRECT TO LGA VOR. WE DID NOT NOTICE ANY TFC CONFLICTS NOR WERE WE TOLD OF ANY. THE REST OF THE FLT WAS ROUTINE. I BELIEVE THE CAUSE TO BE THE CREW'S WORKLOAD, LONG DUTY DAY, AND HAVING TO FLY 6 FLT SEGMENTS ON THE E COAST IN 1 DAY. THE CREW CHKED IN AT XA10 IN EWR. WE WERE SCHEDULED FOR 7 HRS 17 MINS FLT TIME. WE FLEW EWR-GSO, GSO-CHS, CHS-JAX, JAX-TPA, SIT FOR 1 HR CHANGE OF ACFT, THEN FLEW TPA-GSO, GSO-LGA. FINISH IN LGA AT XL50, WITH TOTAL FLYING TIME OF 8 HRS 19 MINS.
