Narrative:

I was handed off my new york approach controller to tower controller from a position about 5 mi east of airport. Approach controller had earlier instructed me to head for midfield right downwind entry for runway 34. Upon calling, tower controller reported 'inbound for right downwind runway 34.' controller did not acknowledge first call. Called again and asked for possibility of right base entry for runway 34. Controller denied request and instructed right base entry for runway 29. I replied that I wished to use runway 34 and would like a midfield downwind entry for that runway. Controller responded by saying that 'traffic pattern work on runway 29 will be approved.' I indicated that I was a full stop and not wanting touch-and-goes. Controller did not respond. I called 3 of 4 times and controller did not respond. Finally, I entered right downwind for runway 34 and reported my position again. Controller said I should extend downwind and she would call out my base turn. I complied. Later, controller said I was #2 behind a cherokee and should turn base. I complied. On 3/4 mi final, I requested a long landing. Controller again misunderstood request and cleared me for touch-and-go. I said I was a full stop and she cleared me to land and make first available turn. I landed and was instructed to clear on left side, even though I was about to exit normal right turn on first taxiway. I complied and cleared to the left. Afterwards, the ground controller requested that I call the tower on landline.
