Narrative:

Shortly after liftoff, struck a small flock of small birds. Impacts were on the radome, left wing, left engine inlet, and left horizontal stabilizer at least 1 was ingested into the left engine causing no abnormal behavior from the engine other than some momentary vibration (which disappeared after a few seconds). We reported the bird strike to ATC. We then made a thorough check of all engine operational parameters, including a visual check of the engine. We then consulted with maintenance control and dispatcher via radio. In light of the fact that we had no abnormal indications we decided the safest course of action was to continue the flight versus an overweight landing in houston. Dispatcher and maintenance control concurred with this decision. Upon landing we discovered 1 fan blade bent slightly out of limits, necessitating its replacement along with the opposite blade. No other damage was found. Supplemental information from acn 294519: the whole aircraft and opposite (#2 engine) was also inspected. No other damage was found.

Title: A BIRD STRIKE OCCURRED SHORTLY AFTER LIFT-OFF. DAMAGE WAS ASCERTAINED TO BE MINIMAL, AND FLC CONTINUED TO DEST.

Narrative: SHORTLY AFTER LIFTOFF, STRUCK A SMALL FLOCK OF SMALL BIRDS. IMPACTS WERE ON THE RADOME, L WING, L ENG INLET, AND L HORIZ STABILIZER AT LEAST 1 WAS INGESTED INTO THE L ENG CAUSING NO ABNORMAL BEHAVIOR FROM THE ENG OTHER THAN SOME MOMENTARY VIBRATION (WHICH DISAPPEARED AFTER A FEW SECONDS). WE RPTED THE BIRD STRIKE TO ATC. WE THEN MADE A THOROUGH CHK OF ALL ENG OPERATIONAL PARAMETERS, INCLUDING A VISUAL CHK OF THE ENG. WE THEN CONSULTED WITH MAINT CTL AND DISPATCHER VIA RADIO. IN LIGHT OF THE FACT THAT WE HAD NO ABNORMAL INDICATIONS WE DECIDED THE SAFEST COURSE OF ACTION WAS TO CONTINUE THE FLT VERSUS AN OVERWT LNDG IN HOUSTON. DISPATCHER AND MAINT CTL CONCURRED WITH THIS DECISION. UPON LNDG WE DISCOVERED 1 FAN BLADE BENT SLIGHTLY OUT OF LIMITS, NECESSITATING ITS REPLACEMENT ALONG WITH THE OPPOSITE BLADE. NO OTHER DAMAGE WAS FOUND. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 294519: THE WHOLE ACFT AND OPPOSITE (#2 ENG) WAS ALSO INSPECTED. NO OTHER DAMAGE WAS FOUND.
