Narrative:

We departed mci on the wildcat 1 wichita transition. The captain was flying and on the SID. We are supposed to track the mkc VOR radial 215 degrees for 65 DME. At 88 DME on the 215 degree radial center told us to fly present heading. Obviously, the PF (captain) did not follow the SID. Because, at the mkc 215 degree radial at 65 DME we were supposed to turn to intercept the wichita VOR 074 degree radial inbound. This captain is non professional, complacent and has been known to make mistakes like this in the cockpit. I (PNF) was doing company paperwork at the time of the event. The captain is 58 yrs old and retired military pilot. He is flying only for the fun and joy of it. That is why I feel he is complacent.
