Narrative:

Flight departed gate on time at cvg. During descent into evv, a loud rattle sound came from the left front of the aircraft. After about 10 seconds the noise quit and the flight continued in to evv. After landing, the ground power receptacle cover was missing. This cover is closed by ground personnel after engine start. The flight crew has no way to determine if the door is closed.

Title: GND SVC DOOR FELL OFF LTT INFLT.

Narrative: FLT DEPARTED GATE ON TIME AT CVG. DURING DSCNT INTO EVV, A LOUD RATTLE SOUND CAME FROM THE L FRONT OF THE ACFT. AFTER ABOUT 10 SECONDS THE NOISE QUIT AND THE FLT CONTINUED IN TO EVV. AFTER LNDG, THE GND PWR RECEPTACLE COVER WAS MISSING. THIS COVER IS CLOSED BY GND PERSONNEL AFTER ENG START. THE FLC HAS NO WAY TO DETERMINE IF THE DOOR IS CLOSED.
