Narrative:

Runway closed, runway 36R, taxiway on south side of airport connecting runway 36L to runway 36R closed. Aircraft on ILS approach to runway 36L, on initial call-up, requests to visually side step to runway 36R (closed runway). I acknowledged his request and asked pilot to report runway in sight, forgetting about the runway closure. Aircraft reports runway and requests runway 36R for landing. I clear aircraft to land. Aircraft landed and turned off runway with no incident. There is no instrument approach to runway 36R, and the FBO is on the southeast corner of the airport. In normal sits with marginal WX, we normally give small aircraft the ILS to runway 36L and side step to runway 36R to save taxi time. The taxiway on the south side of the airport is closed from runway 36L to runway 36R.
