Narrative:

As I was downwind abeam of tower I switched my fuel tanks from outboard to inboard per procedure. The right fuel selector was not moved completely to its detent position. This was not a mechanic problem but carelessness by myself. The right engine shut down from fuel starvation. Believing problem was other than fuel, I feathered engine and landed with no problem. Corrective action: use more care in switching tanks and if fuel is starved after tank transfer switch back to previous tank.
