Roa approach cleared flight to 3700 ft. Leveling at 3700 ft GPWS announced 'terrain, terrain.' radar altimeter. Indicated approximately 1500 ft AGL. At captain's instructions we climbed aircraft to 4100 ft MSL. GPWS ceased. We notified roa approach of GPWS warning and that we had climbed to 4100 ft. No conflict noted. Rest of flight uneventful.
