Narrative:

Departure out of bna, passing 3200 ft MSL, in a left turn from runway heading to 090 -- climbing to 5000 ft MSL asgnd, with department control 118.4. TCASII in TA/RA mode, no alerts, first officer and captain simultaneously saw traffic 11:30 position, co-altitude -- head on aspect, less than 1 mi, passed 500 ft or less down left side of aircraft co altitude. Evasive action was to stop turn, rolling into right bank. Heading was 120 degree for us, approximately 300 degree for traffic. No evasive action noted on traffic. ATC advised -- and responded no targets in vicinity. Traffic was sel -- red with white stripes, radial engine high wing.
