Narrative:

Started both engines. Gave signal for gpu disconnect and was acknowledged by the marshaller at that point, the marshaller gave us signal clear to taxi. After about 10 ft, we were given signal to stop by a ramper who came running from the left side, followed by instructions to shut down. We were notified that the gpu tug struck the aircraft at the dorsal fin of the tail section while pulling away. After personal inspection, I verified minor damage and called maintenance.
