Narrative:

Received a TA on our TCASII, shortly followed by a RA overhead lga airport. Took corrective action which was a 400 FPM rate of descent to avoid conflict. Simultaneously advised ny approach of action. His response was apologetic for not issuing an advisory. The aircraft was spotted shortly after leveling off at 3600 ft. Aircraft type was high wing single-engine.

Narrative: RECEIVED A TA ON OUR TCASII, SHORTLY FOLLOWED BY A RA OVERHEAD LGA ARPT. TOOK CORRECTIVE ACTION WHICH WAS A 400 FPM RATE OF DSCNT TO AVOID CONFLICT.
