Narrative:
Approaching mht airport on ILS runway 35 approach control vectored me on to localizer. I noticed that the localizer needle was not ctring showing right of course. GS indicator appeared inoperative (flag). Identify confirmed proper frequency. Decided to use no GS minimums. WX was 3 mi 1000 ft sky obscured fog and haze. Realized by 2 mi from field was receiving erroneous information from ILS. Looked up, saw airport at my 1-2 O'clock position. At that time tower asked my intentions. Told them I had field in sight and was landing. Had something wrong with navigation radio. Prior to landing switched through frequencys and reset proper frequency navigation worked properly (localizer and GS). I believe with the age of the equipment installed, that there must have been something keeping the navigation from working properly. When I dialed through the channels and reset the frequency, I must have cleaned out or made a better connection for that frequency. I do not believe there was any danger, because WX was VFR, although marginal, I used GS out minimums, and in a controled environment.

Narrative: APCHING MHT ARPT ON ILS RWY 35 APCH CTL VECTORED ME ON TO LOC. I NOTICED THAT THE LOC NEEDLE WAS NOT CTRING SHOWING R OF COURSE. GS INDICATOR APPEARED INOP (FLAG). IDENT CONFIRMED PROPER FREQ. DECIDED TO USE NO GS MINIMUMS. WX WAS 3 MI 1000 FT SKY OBSCURED FOG AND HAZE. REALIZED BY 2 MI FROM FIELD WAS RECEIVING ERRONEOUS INFO FROM ILS. LOOKED UP, SAW ARPT AT MY 1-2 O'CLOCK POS. AT THAT TIME TWR ASKED MY INTENTIONS. TOLD THEM I HAD FIELD IN SIGHT AND WAS LNDG. HAD SOMETHING WRONG WITH NAV RADIO. PRIOR TO LNDG SWITCHED THROUGH FREQS AND RESET PROPER FREQ NAV WORKED PROPERLY (LOC AND GS). I BELIEVE WITH THE AGE OF THE EQUIP INSTALLED, THAT THERE MUST HAVE BEEN SOMETHING KEEPING THE NAV FROM WORKING PROPERLY. WHEN I DIALED THROUGH THE CHANNELS AND RESET THE FREQ, I MUST HAVE CLEANED OUT OR MADE A BETTER CONNECTION FOR THAT FREQ. I DO NOT BELIEVE THERE WAS ANY DANGER, BECAUSE WX WAS VFR, ALTHOUGH MARGINAL, I USED GS OUT MINIMUMS, AND IN A CTLED ENVIRONMENT.
