Narrative:

Just as main gear touched runway surface, a deer ran from left side of runway towards center of runway directly into our path, resulting in impact with deer near left main gear. Damage to aircraft included broken hydraulic brake line on left main and flap damage. Upon rollout, noticed hydraulic warning and loss of pressure and quantity. Captain brought aircraft to stop at end of runway and waited there until ground personnel come out and towed aircraft to gate. No injuries resulted. Possible solution: better airport control of animals within boundaries of airport. Note: this is not the first time I have seen deer on the airport property in the last yr. Supplemental information from acn 278192: the left outboard brake line had been severed, the left tire had a large slash and the left inboard flap had a hole approximately 8 inches times 6 inches at the trailing edge. The deer was noticeably dead, nearly cut in half.
