Narrative:

My first officer noticed the master caution blink on and off. He brought this to my attention -- we saw the #2 engine hydraulic pump low press light illuminate. We also noticed the 'B' hydraulic quantity indicate 1/4 and slowly decreasing. We proceeded to follow book procedures and notified ATC. We had an emergency and requested vectors to land at (slc) we asked for the equipment to stand by. And discussed any other options available to us with our dispatch and maintenance via company radio. It was apparent that no other options were prudent. We flew to slc and landed without further incident and had air carrier personnel tow the aircraft to the gate.
