Narrative:

A visual approach was being conducted using an initial steep rate of descent. As the GS was being captured on short final, the ground proximity began saying 'sink rate, pull up, pull up' continuously with very loud volume. It continued till touchdown and could not be canceled. The volume was so loud, passenger in the back of the plane heard it and communication between myself and the first officer was impossible. Concentrating on landing was difficult. I believe this new device (for part 135) is hazardous as installed and should be toned down before it someday incapacitates a flight crew during an emergency.
