Narrative:

Flight from mco-eyw at FL210. Given clearance by center to descend. At approximately 16000 ft I began to experience ear discomfort. I checked cabin pressure indicator -- cabin altitude was increasing at 1000 FPM. I notified captain. He attempted manual control no effect. I increased rate of descent to 3500 FPM. Cabin altitude. Reached ambient at approximately 10000 ft. Center was notified upon discovery of problem and gave lower altitude. Than first clearance. At approximately 8000 ft, slowed rate of descent to 500 FPM for passenger comfort. Remainder of flight to eyw normal. Postflt inspection normal except for 2 ft section of baggage compartment door seal loose due to bent retainer.
