Narrative:

While being guided into parking by a qualified marshaller, aircraft bumped cargo loader after it passed out of the crews view. (Left forward fuselage area behind cockpit) -- captain followed marshaller's signals and no abnormal signals given. Normal gradual stop signal given. No damage to aircraft. Corrective action: since belt loader was stationary and normally extremely close to the aircraft, during taxi in aircraft should be stopped short of loader and tugged into parking. Corrective action: retrain marshaller on how to marshall largo aircraft (DC8-63) in proximity of obstructions.
