Narrative:

Parking airplane in atl in a very tight spot as directed by ramp personnel. Making full hard right turn, left wing struck alloy stair attached to jetway. Minor damage to aircraft (wing deice boat torn). I could not personally verify clearance with stair (this is normal) and was relying on wing man and lead man for instructions. At time of contact both ramp agents were signaling to continue. Immediately after contact both gave stop signal. This was not my fault. The lesson here is, if you know it's going to be close do not rely on ramp agents. Just park it straight ahead and make them tow it.
