Narrative:

In the morning after a continuous duty overnight we were descending 10 mi north of the airport for a straight-in approach for visual to runway 18. Tower told us to report on a 3 mi final. We forgot the report and continued to a landing. We were the only aircraft in the area that morning. We feel that the tower watched us the whole way but they did not call us or alert us to our mistake. Supplemental information from acn 273339: there were no other aircraft in the area. We did not realize there wasn't a cleared to land clearance until told to switch to ground, at which time the ground controller told us they missed the 3 mi call.
