Narrative:
Approached van nuys airport for an east stagg arrival, landing at FBO aviation. After turning final (I was cleared to land on the taxiway abeam FBO). A fixed wing aircraft that had taken off from runway 16R turned directly into my approach path, causing me to make a sharp descending left turn to avoid a collision. There are many incidents at van nuys due to helicopter to fixed wing controller communication problems!

Narrative: APCHED VAN NUYS ARPT FOR AN E STAGG ARR, LNDG AT FBO AVIATION. AFTER TURNING FINAL (I WAS CLRED TO LAND ON THE TXWY ABEAM FBO). A FIXED WING ACFT THAT HAD TAKEN OFF FROM RWY 16R TURNED DIRECTLY INTO MY APCH PATH, CAUSING ME TO MAKE A SHARP DSNDING L TURN TO AVOID A COLLISION. THERE ARE MANY INCIDENTS AT VAN NUYS DUE TO HELI TO FIXED WING CTLR COM PROBS!
