Narrative:

While performing first flight of day checks, left torque and temperature limiting system test caused left engine to flame out. As engine was spooling down, I noticed smoke, then fire, from inboard side of left engine cowl. Completed memory items and fire or severe engine damage checklist. Instructed first officer to deplane passenger through main cabin door. No injuries reported. Minor aircraft damage. Cause of malfunction was bad ttl computer. Several instances of this type of malfunction within recent period.

Title: AN ACR LTT HAD AN ENG FIRE ON THE GND.

Narrative: WHILE PERFORMING FIRST FLT OF DAY CHKS, L TORQUE AND TEMP LIMITING SYS TEST CAUSED L ENG TO FLAME OUT.
