Narrative:

We were pushed from gate by one female tug driver. After setting aircraft brakes she was unable to disconnect tow bar from aircraft. She had me release brakes, repositioned aircraft and reset brakes. Still unable to disconnect, 2 men came to assist. With 2 engines running at idle, she asked me to release brakes. Lots of banging heard below nose trying to disconnect. Suddenly she says 'set brakes.' mindful of flight attendants standing in aisle, I set brakes, but nose of plane broke rotating beacon from top of tug. I sent so out aft airstair to inspect. He found superficial scratch aft of radome. We flew the plane to sfo.
