Narrative:

After returning to grb after the incident I noted the following discrepancies at the intersection of runway 30 and taxiway J. 1) the runway side lines are faded and need a fresh coat applied. The need for this is emphasized with the lack of contrast between taxiway and runway surface. (They are both asphalt). 2) the runway hold sign is placed an excessively long way from the edge of taxiway J. 25 ft or (so), making it difficult to see. 3) runway centerline lines are faded and need a fresh application of paint. Callback conversation with tower supervisor revealed the following information: tower supervisor said runway sign and runway hold lines are clearly visible and are not faded or washed out.
