Narrative:

The texas state park and wild life rangers for lake whitney state park, whitney texas invited experimental aircraft association to sponsor a wkend of aviation education and flying activities for the visitors and campers at lake whitney state park. Traditionally, our organization has used this state park since 1974, as it is the only one in texas that enables us to fly in. This was our second memorial fly-in, which we chose to hold in this unique park. The park rangers were informing people about the activities and the possibility of some early morning flying and plane rides for kids. Apparently, not everyone got the message, because it was reported to me that 1 camper did not appreciate the early morning wake up fly over call and wrote my n-number down. All wkend we were meeting and giving rides to kids in the park and not once did I fly lower than 500 ft AGL over the camp site. There are camp sites over the approach and departure end of the runway, and there are times when you have to sharply abort your landing and go around, because of deer on or around the runway. It may seem to some people that a go around airplane is too low. If I offended or awakened someone from a peaceful wkend sleep at the park, I apologize and I will be more sympathetic to this person's needs and begin my flying activity later in the day.

Narrative: THE TEXAS STATE PARK AND WILD LIFE RANGERS FOR LAKE WHITNEY STATE PARK, WHITNEY TEXAS INVITED EXPERIMENTAL ACFT ASSOCIATION TO SPONSOR A WKEND OF AVIATION EDUCATION AND FLYING ACTIVITIES FOR THE VISITORS AND CAMPERS AT LAKE WHITNEY STATE PARK. TRADITIONALLY, OUR ORGANIZATION HAS USED THIS STATE PARK SINCE 1974, AS IT IS THE ONLY ONE IN TEXAS THAT ENABLES US TO FLY IN. THERE ARE CAMP SITES OVER THE APCH AND DEP END OF THE RWY, AND THERE ARE TIMES WHEN YOU HAVE TO SHARPLY ABORT YOUR LNDG AND GAR, BECAUSE OF DEER ON OR AROUND THE RWY. IT MAY SEEM TO SOME PEOPLE THAT A GAR AIRPLANE IS TOO LOW.
