Narrative:

During preflight for trip to krog, I attempted to reset copilot's ADI (vertical gyro) with no success. Neither the circuit breaker nor the 'quick erect' button worked. I promptly notified the PF of this problem. By now it is 30 min till ETD. Pilot stated that the same thing happened yesterday. However, that was a cavu day. Today it was 1/8 mi and fog with level 4 and 5 thunderstorms along the route of flight. When asked if I was uncomfortable with this situation, I was fired on the spot and a replacement pilot was found within 1 min. Pilot proceeded to fly anyway.
