Narrative:

During en route descent an alternating current phase circuit breaker popped. Procedures stated that the affected circuit breaker be left in the tripped position and to continue flight with affected system inoperative. As stated in the operations manual, the landing gear indicator position lights would be inoperative with this circuit breaker tripped. (The landing gear operated normally.) a visual inspection was made to confirm that all gears were down and locked. A logbook entry was made concerning the affected a circuit breaker. There was no problem with the landing gear itself. Seems there was a misinterp to the nature of our malfunction. The captain requested turning room to make a 360 degree turn in order to make enough time for me to visually confirm a down and locked position of each gear. The tower or approach control may have misunderstood the nature of our problem as a gear malfunction, while in actuality it was a popped circuit breaker which disabled the indicator lights only. Supplemental information from acn 269443: kennedy tower offered crash fire rescue equipment equipment, we declined as unnecessary, but got it anyway.

Title: WDB ACFT HAS CB POP CREATING INOP GEAR INDICATOR POS LIGHTS. VISUAL INSPECTION OF GEAR CONDUCTED.

Narrative: DURING ENRTE DSCNT AN ALTERNATING CURRENT PHASE CIRCUIT BREAKER POPPED. PROCS STATED THAT THE AFFECTED CIRCUIT BREAKER BE LEFT IN THE TRIPPED POS AND TO CONTINUE FLT WITH AFFECTED SYS INOP. AS STATED IN THE OPS MANUAL, THE LNDG GEAR INDICATOR POS LIGHTS WOULD BE INOP WITH THIS CIRCUIT BREAKER TRIPPED. (THE LNDG GEAR OPERATED NORMALLY.) A VISUAL INSPECTION WAS MADE TO CONFIRM THAT ALL GEARS WERE DOWN AND LOCKED. A LOGBOOK ENTRY WAS MADE CONCERNING THE AFFECTED A CIRCUIT BREAKER. THERE WAS NO PROB WITH THE LNDG GEAR ITSELF. SEEMS THERE WAS A MISINTERP TO THE NATURE OF OUR MALFUNCTION. THE CAPT REQUESTED TURNING ROOM TO MAKE A 360 DEG TURN IN ORDER TO MAKE ENOUGH TIME FOR ME TO VISUALLY CONFIRM A DOWN AND LOCKED POS OF EACH GEAR. THE TWR OR APCH CTL MAY HAVE MISUNDERSTOOD THE NATURE OF OUR PROB AS A GEAR MALFUNCTION, WHILE IN ACTUALITY IT WAS A POPPED CB WHICH DISABLED THE INDICATOR LIGHTS ONLY. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 269443: KENNEDY TWR OFFERED CFR EQUIP, WE DECLINED AS UNNECESSARY, BUT GOT IT ANYWAY.
