Narrative:

The captain assigned from reserve status to my trip was scheduled to exceed 100 hours in 30 days (far 121.503-509). When we arrived in nrt (rjaa) we faxed our concerns to crew resource planning that the captain would exceed 100/30 on the nrt/mnl/tpe segments. We cited 121.525 (mixed crew greater than or equal to 20 hours. (2 pilot equals 2 pilot for 30 days). We were told that our poi in mem had ok'ed the use of 121.521 over 121.525. We requested that the flight operations duty officer issue us a directive stating that we were to operate nrt/mnl/tpe and qtpe/anc. We also notified our air safety committee and requested that they do a follow-up on which far 121.521 or 121.525 is applicable.
