Narrative:

I do not know what caused our #1 hydraulic system failure. We just simply followed the pilot's handbook emergency procedure for a utility hydraulic system failure, notified cleveland center, and diverted to pittsburgh international (no nosewheel steering recommended maximum crosswind 10 KTS. The event was without any other problems. We did declare an emergency prior to landing in pittsburgh. We were towed to the gate after landing. No further problems.

Narrative: I DO NOT KNOW WHAT CAUSED OUR #1 HYD SYS FAILURE. WE JUST SIMPLY FOLLOWED THE PLT'S HANDBOOK EMER PROC FOR A UTILITY HYD SYS FAILURE, NOTIFIED CLEVELAND CENTER, AND DIVERTED TO PITTSBURGH INTL (NO NOSEWHEEL STEERING RECOMMENDED MAX XWIND 10 KTS.
