Narrative:

Shortly after departure from iad, the crew noticed that the right main landing gear down/locked light (green) was illuminated after the landing gear lever had been selected up. The abnormal/emergency checklist had no procedure for this scenario. Maintenance control was notified by radio, and was made aware of the situation. Maintenance control instructed the flight crew to cycle the landing gear and return to iad. Iad approach was made aware of the circumstances and was instructed to have crash/fire/rescue standing by the flight crew. After landing, the aircraft was taxied clear of the runway and shut down. Under the direction of maintenance control, the right main gear pin was installed and taxied to the gate.

Title: ONE OF THE MAIN LNDG GEAR FAILED TO LIFT ON AN ACR BA 3100 JETSTREAM.

Narrative: SHORTLY AFTER DEP FROM IAD, THE CREW NOTICED THAT THE R MAIN LNDG GEAR DOWN/LOCKED LIGHT (GREEN) WAS ILLUMINATED AFTER THE LNDG GEAR LEVER HAD BEEN SELECTED UP. THE ABNORMAL/EMER CHKLIST HAD NO PROC FOR THIS SCENARIO. MAINT CTL WAS NOTIFIED BY RADIO, AND WAS MADE AWARE OF THE SIT. MAINT CTL INSTRUCTED THE FLC TO CYCLE THE LNDG GEAR AND RETURN TO IAD. IAD APCH WAS MADE AWARE OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO HAVE CRASH/FIRE/RESCUE STANDING BY THE FLC. AFTER LNDG, THE ACFT WAS TAXIED CLR OF THE RWY AND SHUT DOWN. UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MAINT CTL, THE R MAIN GEAR PIN WAS INSTALLED AND TAXIED TO THE GATE.
