Narrative:

During descent to btr somewhere below 10000 ft MSL it sounded like a runaway propeller and had no power. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the analyst had asked the reporter to send a supplemental report detailing more of the event. To 5/6/94 this report has not been received. On the callback the reporter simply stated that the power levers were somehow placed into the 'flight idle' regime and that, after 6 mins, the autoplt disconnected. The runaway propeller sound occurred at the same time. Some reference was made to the 'beta lights' not giving the proper warning to the reporter who was the PF. Reporter had been with the air carrier for 9 yrs and was terminated over their incident.
