Narrative:

En route from dallas to lga flight had been cleared on flight plan to lga via the nanci 5 arrival. Neither the pilot nor the copilot had in their manuals the nanci 5 arrival, or any previous nanci arrival. I advised wash center that we did not have the arrival. Center asked another flight to read us the arrival, which he did - and we copied the arrival routing including radials and DME fixes. Center asked if we had the routing now. We acknowledged yes and center cleared us to lga via the nanci 5 arrival. Subsequent handoff to ny center was smooth and no problem occurred during the arrival and approach to lga. A rare case of both pilots mishandling a revision. Later investigation showed that revision was done all correctly except for the omission of this particular page. In this case, full disclosure early to washington center rather than waiting to get to ny center saved all a lot of trouble.
