Narrative:

This maintenance facility located at the pie airport asked me if I would test fly a lear 24D. They recently completed a 12 yr inspection. Unknown to me at the time, they (the shop) removed the leading edge of the wing. According to the maintenance manual (wing mod), the airplane must be flown by a factory test pilot to check out stall characteristics before any one else flies the airplane. This was brought to my attention after the fact by a friend.
