Narrative:

Was under guidance of company guideman taxiing into gate. Guideman guided me to wrong stop mark (10 ft to 20 ft too far). He was guiding a 737 to a stop mark for a 727. Left engine nacelle/cowl top made contact with parked jetway causing very slight damage to aircraft. No damage to personnel, passengers, or other equipment. Jetway was parked where it was supposed to be and aircraft was on centerline at very slow speed. Ramp area was clear and dry. Guideman later said he was unfamiliar with this particular gate. Painted lines were apparently confusing. The next day the confusing lines where sandblasted off the ramp.
