Narrative:

While taxiing in on gate 'a' at pit, our wingtip struck the wingtip of another large transport on gate 'B.' our aircraft was on centerline and being marshalled in by maintenance personnel at pit. Damage was minor with only strobe light broken and wingtip fairing damaged. Upon inspection after the incident, it was noted that our aircraft was exactly on centerline, but this aircraft on gate 'B' had been parked at an angle that placed his nosewheel on centerline, but the main wheels were skewed right of centerline approximately 5 ft, which caused the incident. To prevent a recurrence, I suggest that wing walkers be utilized when parking large aircraft in close proximity of each other.
