Narrative:

We got a left engine oil strainer clogged light on our medium large transport following the east.P. We reduced power and the light remained illuminated. Therefore, we shut down the left engine and did a single engine landing into atl. The only conflict was when atl tower made a mistake about which runway we were cleared to land on. We had to change our landing runway at about 300 ft AGL due to traffic on our cleared runway. Supplemental information from acn 256077: left engine oil strainer clogged. Precautionary shutdown of left engine. Declared emergency with uneventful landing atl runway 27L.
