Narrative:

While making a visual approach to land at dca on runway 18, the wind was out of the south which caused up to drift to the north bank of the river. The captain looked out his window and could see the north river bank but we were very close to it. Since the P56 area has been moved to the river bank, it makes it really tight to operate in and out of dca. I believe we avoided the P56 but this is submitted to let you know my dissatisfaction with how close the prohibited area is to the river.
