Narrative:

Had momentary 'fire, engine 1' warning. This left a message and checklist on MFDU. Analyzed situation. Proceeded to follow checklist even though fire was not active. Declared emergency and had crash/fire/rescue awaiting. Landed uneventfully approximately 8 mins later. Additional note: engine was shut down in accordance with our airline's procedures.

DECLARED EMER AND HAD CRASH/FIRE/RESCUE AWAITING. LANDED UNEVENTFULLY APPROX 8 MINS LATER. ADDITIONAL NOTE: ENG WAS SHUT DOWN IN ACCORDANCE WITH OUR AIRLINE'S PROCS.
