Narrative:
On oct/J/93, I was on a tour flight in san francisco bay. Route of flight attached copy. I could see aircraft performing aerobatic maneuvers within performance box indicated on attached copy. To the best of my knowledge I was at no time in the performance box. I know this route very well and I have over 800 hours flying this. An FAA inspector somewhere on the ground called me the next day. He said that from the ground it appeared I was near the performance box. Attached copy of IFR oct (xg-xh-xi) no indication of restr airspace on oct/xj/93 'facsimile copy.'

Title: PLT OF AN SMA SEAPLANE SIGHTSEEING FLT ACFT INADVERTENTLY PENETRATED A SPECIAL AIRSPACE AREA DESIGNATED FOR AEROBATIC FLT MANEUVERS OF A MIL DEMONSTRATION TEAM.
Narrative: ON OCT/J/93, I WAS ON A TOUR FLT IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY. RTE OF FLT ATTACHED COPY. I COULD SEE ACFT PERFORMING AEROBATIC MANEUVERS WITHIN PERFORMANCE BOX INDICATED ON ATTACHED COPY. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE I WAS AT NO TIME IN THE PERFORMANCE BOX. I KNOW THIS RTE VERY WELL AND I HAVE OVER 800 HRS FLYING THIS. AN FAA INSPECTOR SOMEWHERE ON THE GND CALLED ME THE NEXT DAY. HE SAID THAT FROM THE GND IT APPEARED I WAS NEAR THE PERFORMANCE BOX. ATTACHED COPY OF IFR OCT (XG-XH-XI) NO INDICATION OF RESTR AIRSPACE ON OCT/XJ/93 'FAX COPY.'
