Narrative:

Went for a VFR flight at 57A rutherfordton airport. 12 mi before reaching airport, I called on unicom inbound. No answer. Continued inbound and called several more times (total times called approximately 6). Still no answer. On downwind, someone said we're having an air show, will hold air show traffic for your arrival. Turned base to final to land, then someone replied the airport is closed. It was too late to go around. Just continued with landing, taxied clear of runway, parked in grass, and was met by FAA officials. I recommend that during any air show that the unicom be monitored by some air show personnel to advise any aircraft in the area that they are closed for the air show.
