Narrative:
While taxiing to departure runway using single engine taxi procedures, it was decided to use 8 degree flap setting for takeoff versus '0' degree flap setting. The flight crew was busy obtaining and setting new 'V' speeds for 8 degree flap setting when cleared for takeoff by tower. We taxied onto the runway before restarting #2 engine which was still shut down from taxi. We cleared the runway at the first available taxiway, then started the #2 engine and departed without incident.

Title: FLC ACCEPTS TKOF CLRNC AND TAXIES ONTO ACTIVE WITH #2 ENG STILL SHUT DOWN. TKOF ABORTED.
Narrative: WHILE TAXIING TO DEP RWY USING SINGLE ENG TAXI PROCS, IT WAS DECIDED TO USE 8 DEG FLAP SETTING FOR TKOF VERSUS '0' DEG FLAP SETTING. THE FLC WAS BUSY OBTAINING AND SETTING NEW 'V' SPDS FOR 8 DEG FLAP SETTING WHEN CLRED FOR TKOF BY TWR. WE TAXIED ONTO THE RWY BEFORE RESTARTING #2 ENG WHICH WAS STILL SHUT DOWN FROM TAXI. WE CLRED THE RWY AT THE FIRST AVAILABLE TXWY, THEN STARTED THE #2 ENG AND DEPARTED WITHOUT INCIDENT.
