Small aircraft Y departed, climbed to 2000 ft MSL on heading 320 degrees. The widebody transport X was in line at different runway. After departure, the widebody transport X was turned to heading 360 degrees after departing, anticipating they would outclb the small aircraft Y. Widebody transport X climbed slower than anticipated. Traffic was exchanged. The widebody transport X took evasive action.
